Mystic hosts the 9-1 Martha’s Vineyard Sharks for a battle of the titans. The Sharks and the Schooners sit at one and two in the south division respectively. Mystic comes into the day with an 8-2 record.
Vineyard's only loss of the season came from the Schooners.
The Sharks have a team .245 batting average, while the Schooners have .242.
The game on the base paths will play a large part in the game. The schooners have 28 stolen bags on the year while the sharks have 24.
Both pitching staffs have been strong this season. The Sharks have pitched to a team 2.40 ERA and Mystic sits at a 3.52 clip.
Jackson Taylor (Clemson) has a team best .409 batting average for Vineyard and has tallied 10 RBI, which both rank in the top five in the NECBL.
