The Schooners look to bounce back on the road against the Ocean State Waves on Saturday, June 13, after ending their four-game win streak on Friday.

The Schooners are coming off an 11-3 loss, where the Schooners gave up nine runs before recording an out. A bright spot in the game was Devin Russell’s (Maryland) two-run shot, his second long ball in as many games.

The Wave sit last in the standings with a 1-5 record. Ocean State is fresh off a 15-1 loss against Danbury.

In their last meeting, the Schooners took down the Waves with an 8-4 home victory. Cam Righi (UConn) led the Schooners with two RBI in the win.

Mike Poncini (Georgetown) got the ball against the Waves in their last meeting and is the probable starter for Mystic. Poncini went three innings and allowed three earned runs in his first appearance of the year against Ocean State.

First pitch from Old Mountain Field is set for 6:30 pm.
