The Schooners return to the Shipyard on Thursday, June 11, looking to earn their fourth straight victory. Mystic faces off against a red-hot Newport offense that scored 25 runs across their last two games. The Gulls are also looking to secure their fourth consecutive win after opening the season 0-2-1.

The Schooners are coming off a 12-2 domination of North Adams. The win put Mystic atop of the NECBL South standings with a 5-1 record.

Mystic recorded 15 hits on the road on Tuesday night. The top three in the Schooners lineup, Jack Harley (Stetson), Gabe Natividad (Winthrop) and Cam Righi (UConn), all tallied three-hit days against the SteepleCats. The Schooners' pitching staff held the SteepleCats scoreless through eight frames, recording 13 strikeouts.

Harry Engel (Fairfield) takes the bump for Mystic. In his last time out, Engel allowed one run on one hit across four innings, while striking out two.

The game on the basepaths is something to look out for in this next stretch of games. The Schooners lead the NECBL in stolen bases with 19 on the year.
