The Schooners look to start fresh after an off day, hosting the North Shore Navigators on Monday, July 6. Mystic enters the contest 14-9 on the summer, while the Navs look to move above .500 with a 12-13 record.

Mystic fell 7-1 in a shortened Independence Day game to the Newport Gulls. Justin Best (Manhattan) tallied half of Mystic’s hits in the game with two knocks.

North Shore is fresh off a win 6-4 over Ocean State. This summer, Hudson Ellis (ORU) has helped lead the Navs to success, leading the team with a .333 batting average and 15 stolen bases.

The Navs enter the game with a .207 team batting average, while the Schooners come in with a .239 clip.

The game on the basepaths is something to watch out for. Mystic enters the day with 77 stolen bases and North Shore has tallied 76. Cam Righi (UConn) leads the Schooners with 13 stolen bases, and Casey Wensley (Bryant) has tallied 11.

Mystic’s probable starter is Brady Bouchard (Stetson). Bouchard has pitched to a 3.07 ERA this summer, striking out eight hitters across 11.2 innings of work. In his last start against Vermont, Bouchard allowed one earned run on two hits across four innings.

First pitch from Ed Harvey Field is slated for 6:30 pm. Catch the live-game coverage on NECBL+.
