Preview: Mystic hosts Bristol, looking to bounce back

Mystic looks to bounce back against the Blues, following a 3-2 loss to Sanford on Thursday, June 25. The Schooners enter the evening 10-5 on the summer, while Bristol looks to move their record above .500.

The Blues look to earn their third straight win, coming off a 3-2 win over Ocean State. Chris DiPrima (Yale) tallied three hits in the win.

The Schooners fell to the Mainers on Wednesday evening. Anthony Belisario (Portal) had the lone Mystic RBI in the loss.

The Blues have struggled to generate offense at times this season, with a .198 team batting average. Bristol ranks last in the NECBL in extra base hits, stolen bases, and slugging percentage.

The Schooners enter the night with a .240 team batting average and .378 on-base percentage. Mystic has continued to add pressure on the bathpaths, swiping 52 bags on the season.

First pitch from Ed Harvey Field is set for 6:35 pm.
