Four Schooners named NECBL South All-Star Reserves

Jack Harley (Stetson), Anthony Ruggiero (URI), MJ Bollinger (UConn) and Connor Lane (UConn) will represent the Schooners as NECBL South Division All-Star Reserves.

Harley is the reserve second baseman in the game on Sunday, July 26 at Goodall Park. This season, Harley boasted a .288 batting average with 17 RBI and 10 stolen bases. The rising sophomore at Stetson has a .399 on-base percentage, drawing 18 walks on the summer.

Ruggiero is a recent commit to Rhode Island and will be an outfield reserve. The lefty is currently tied for the league-lead in home runs this summer with six. Ruggiero has averaged .272 with 15 RBI. He has scored 24 runs across 23 games played. He has tallied seven stolen bags this summer. Ruggiero has recorded a home run in each of his last two games played.

Bollinger is a UConn transfer and a rising junior. This summer, the right-handed arm has pitched to a sub-one ERA across 18.2 innings pitched. In 11 appearances, he has struck out 18 hitters and recorded two saves. Bollinger has posted a 1.02 WHIP with a .141 OBA.

Lane is a rising sophomore at UConn and a right-handed pitcher. He started his college career as a position player, but due to an injury, reverted back to pitching. This summer, Lane has tallied three saves. He has tossed to a sub-one WHIP and a 1.76 ERA. In 15.1 innings pitched, Lane has struck out 21 hitters. Opponents are hitting .130 against Lane this season.
